ARCHIVED - 8th March Los Halcones aero-modelling club competition day in Torre Pacheco

The day is being hosted by Los Halcones, the Falcons flying club of Torre Pacheco.

This is an event being held by the Aeromodelling Club "Los Halcones" of Torre Pacheco, and whilst the core activity of flying  their model aircraft and helicopters is a club activity, there is also a competition day on Sunday to which other clubs and anybody who would like to come along and watch the planes is invited.

The club has been running since 1994  and members own an impressive selection of large model aircraft and helicopters.

The event is taking place in the flying fields of the Club de Aeromodelismo Los Halcones, which is situated along the road between Torre  Pacheco and El Jimenado at km 4 in the Rambla finca lo pollo . On the google map, its clear that the road runs alongside the rambla, but doesn´t show where km4 is, although looking at the satellite map the airfield can be seen to the right between Jimenado and La Herencia. There is a tarmacked road on the right heading towards the warehouses of "Pepillos trunking " which is clearly signposted at the entrance to the road. Carry on 1km along the road and you´ll arrive at the flying field.

It is clearly signposted from the road, so if you´re on the main road it can be found quite easily.

The flying starts from 10am.
