All activities are secure and in the company of a guide

Throughout the summer guided activities are offered by a private company in the Águilas municipality, offering a chance to discover various aspects of the natural and historical heritage of Águilas.

The tours are in Spanish and should be booked directly with the company.

Group sizes are limited to 15 people per guided visit and 20 for the 4 Calas walk with full safety measures observed.

GUIDED SENDERISMO WALK ALONG THE “CUATRO CALAS”

Águilas has a series of beautiful natural coves, all within a natural protected stretch of coastline. This walk is two hours long.

Every Sunday at 10:00.

Departure from Playa Calarreona

Duration: Approximately two hours

Price: 5 euros/ accompanied children under 8; free of charge

Commentary in Spanish

The route departs from the beach of Calarreona at 10:00 (at the southern end by the camping) and visits four of the attractive wild coves in this run of beaches which lies within a protected area and has been included by the European Commission within the Natura 2000 network as a Site of Community Interest, and contains the Cañada Brusca salt marsh, which is a candidate to become a botanical micro-reserve, as well as the volcanic outcrop of Punta Parda, which has been proposed as a Site of Geological Interest.

GUIDED VISIT TO THE EMBARCADERO DEL HORNILLO AND SURROUNDING AREA

The infrastructure of the Embarcadero del Hornillo, the underground tunnels leading to it and the vast mineral storage areas alongside it are the most important industrial monument in the Águilas municipality and were fundamental to the expansion of the town when they were built to export vast quantities of raw minerals by a British mining company.

Please note, dialogue is in Spanish, although information boards are in English and there is a considerable bank of information about the subject here.

The visit is at 18:00 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

MYSTERIES AND LEGENDS OF ÀGUILAS

Discover a series of surprising and mysterious legends and mysteries about not only Águilas but other areas of the Costa Cálida as well on this nocturnal tour in the cooler evening air.

GUIDED TOUR OF THE HISTORICAL CENTRE OF ÁGUILAS

Águilas is one of the most historic towns in the Costa Cálida, with remains dating from the Prehistoric to the present day, all of which will be revelaed on this history walk through the older areas of the town.

When: Every Wednesday

Duration: approximately two hours
