Caminando entre dos aguas
San Pedro del Pinatar is the home of the Las Salinas natural park, an area of saltflats which is home to a wide variety of birds, plants and wildlife. This free guided route runs between the saltpans of the salinas and the waters of the Mar Menor, viewing the salt mountains, windmills and the ancient artisan fishing technique known as Las Encañizadas en route.
Departure at 10:00 from the Molino de Quintín (Calle Campoamor)
Duration: 3 hours.
Distance: 9 km.
Suitable footwear essential, use of hat, sunglasses, suncream and mosquito repellent strongly advised. Participants should also carry water and a snack and bring binoculars with which to observe the birdlife.
Speak to the visitor centre of Las Salinas or the Tourist Office if unsure about the start point location.English is spoken.
