Storm warnings this week: Murcia weather forecast September 22-25

Parts of Cartagena and Mazarrón can expect heavy downpours, with showers likely in the rest of the Region of Murcia

Storm warnings in Murcia on Tuesday September 23

The skies opened in parts of the Region of Murcia over the weekend, with brief but sometimes violent hailstorms reported on Sunday September 21. The mixed weather will continue well into this week with falling temperatures and more widespread rain on the cards.

Monday September 22

The week will get off to a cloudy start with the skies gradually darkening as the hours go by. Scattered showers are forecast in the evening and daytime temperatures will begin to fall inland.

Tuesday September 23

Tuesday will again be cloudy and while there’s a chance of showers across the Region, the campos in Cartagena and Mazarrón have been issued with yellow thunderstorm warnings in the very early morning.

Temperatures will drop across the board, maxing out at 27ºC or 28ºC.

Wednesday September 24

Cloudy skies, with occasional light rain possible on Wednesday. Temperatures will fluctuate slightly along the coast; inland, lows will rise and highs will fall.

Thursday September 25

The forecast for Thursday is virtually the same as the day before, with dark skies and a chance of showers and drizzle. Daytime temperatures will range from 24ºC to 28ºC.
