Animal welfare, bullying and Halloween are the themes of the remaining Saturday morning events this month

A series of Saturday activities is being held in October for youngsters in the municipality of Mazarrón, the remaining dates being October 8, 15 and 29.

On October 8 children aged up to 16 are invited to spend a couple of hours at the botanical garden learning about animal welfare and the environment. The event includes a visit to the local abandoned cat shelter as well as the garden and lasts from 10.00 to 12.00.

On October 15 an hour and a half of story-telling and related activities are being held at the Domingo Valdivieso secondary school from 11.00 to 12.30. This time the schedule includes a short dramatization of a play designed to combat bullying at school.

Finally, on October 29 a series of Halloween workshops are being held in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, getting the youngsters in the mood for a night which has gone from being almost unknown in Spain to being staggeringly popular over the last 25 years or so!

Prior registration is not required for these events: simply turn up and enjoy!
