November 18 and 19 Regional hunting falconry championship in Mazarron

Man, bird and dog teams put their abilities to the test in the countryside of Mazarrón

An unusual sporting event is being held in Mazarrón over the weekend of November 18 and 19, when hunters using falcons or hawks and dogs will put their skills to the test as the regional championship is organized by the “La Purísima” hunting society.

Registration is open for competitors until November 2 at www.federacioncaza.com and costs 50 euros for one competing bird and 30 euros for each additional bird. Those wishing to join the Saturday night dinner should call the Casa Colorá in Leiva to book (616 910084) (menu 23 euros).
