February kicks off with wind alerts and more rain: Alicante weather forecast February 2-5
Strong winds and unsettled weather continue into February, expect rain at times with occasional bright moments in between

By early February, we often expect to see a glimmer of spring in the air, but this year, the weather has other plans. Instead, it’s another mixed week ahead for Alicante with unsettled conditions, strong winds and some wet weather still very much in the picture.
Monday February 2

It will be cloudy to start with, especially inland, where a few showers are possible earlier in the day. Things should improve as the afternoon goes on, with cloud breaking up and some brighter spells appearing later. Overnight temperatures will be a little lower, while daytime highs stay fairly steady. Winds are light at first but pick up from the west later in the day.
Tuesday February 3

Tuesday will be partly cloudy, with some sunny spells through the day. A little light rain is possible later, mostly inland, but many areas should stay dry. Winds stay light to moderate from the west, so it could feel a bit breezy at times.
Wednesday February 4

Wednesday will start cloudier and there will be rain across much of the province. Snow is possible on higher ground also, but well away from the coast. Temperatures pick up a little, but the wind will get stronger later, especially inland.
Thursday February 5

Thursday stays on the unsettled side, with cloud and more rain, especially inland. Overnight temperatures will be a bit milder, and daytime highs don’t change much. The westerly wind will keep up, and it could be quite strong in exposed spots.
So it looks like the more traditional winter weather is holding on for another week. At least there will be the odd brighter spell to enjoy. Again, take care near the coast and in exposed areas while those wind alerts are in place. Remember to layer up when heading out, as you’ll need those extra clothes once the sun fades and the weather may change fast.

Minimum and maximum temperatures:
- Monday February 2: Min 6ºC, Max 17ºC
- Tuesday February 3: Min 5ºC, Max 16ºC
- Wednesday February 4: Min 4ºC, Max 20ºC
- Thursday February 5: Min 10ºC, Max 23ºC

Weather Alerts
There are still some wind alerts in place along the Alicante coast. Strong westerly and southwesterly winds are expected, especially on the northern and southern coasts, with waves of 2 to 3 metres. Take care if you’re near the beach or out on exposed areas, and keep an eye on any updates from Aemet.
