50 per cent off tourist accommodation in Murcia for those with Spanish residency!

Hotel, rural accommodation and campsite stays at half price throughout Murcia!

The regional government has once again launched its annual Bono Turístico scheme, which consists of 50% discounts offered to those with Spanish residency at various tourist accommodation establishments throughout the Region of Murcia.

The requirements to qualify for this discount are that applicants should be at least 18 years old and have Spanish residency and that their stays consist of at least two consecutive nights at one of the hotels, tourist apartments, campsites, country retreats, rural inns and hostels affiliated to the scheme.

The maximum discount available is limited to 250 euros, and the discount can be applied for by presenting proof of the reservation and a signed “Formulario de Solicitud y Declaración responsable” (available online here).

Once you have acquired your Bono Turístico you have a maximum of 7 days to make your reservation at one of the establishments or travel agents affiliated to the scheme, although if this deadline expires you can always request another one. The period between making the reservation and the first night of your stay must be between 7 and 30 calendar days.

How to do it

The first step is to sign up for the scheme here.

Next choose you preferred destination here – these include 23 hotels, some in the city of Murcia, various spa and mud therapy hotels on the shore of the Mar Menor and the Parador at Lorca castle, 120 rural accommodation options, most of them in the north-west of the Region. There are also 24 affiliated travel agencies.

Once you’ve reached a decision, make your booking, paying 50% of the cost. The rest Will be reimbursed up to a maximum of 250€.

You now receive a rpomotional code and within 7 days you should present this, along with the signed “Formulario de Solicitud y Declaración responsable”.

Your payment must be made by bank transfer, cheque or debit or credit card – cash or payment into accounts is not permitted.

The scheme runs until May 2026 and is intended to provide an out-of-season boost to tourist accommodation establishments.
