Affordable dining alongside the road into Alhama from Mazarron

Restaurante El Lobo is located on Avenida Basterreche, the main street which leads into the centre of Alhama de Murcia from the RM-2 dual carriageway, Condado de Alhama and Mazarrón, and is just to the southern side of the main roundabout on the dual carriageway which skirts the southern end of the town. 

The food in the El Lobo bar-restaurant is typical of the Region of Murcia, with specialities including various stews, at least one of which is available every day of the week, and a constant effort is made to continually add new items to the menu. 

The lunchtime Menú del Día at El Lobo is priced at just 10€, including a choice from 4 starters and 2 main courses, plus salad, dessert, coffee and a drink. In addition, a special gourmet menu is offered at 25€, and dining á la carte (which usually involves specially selected cuts of meat) usually comes in at around 35€ per head.

El Lobo is a relatively small establishment, with seating for a total of only 50, but there is access for the disabled, wi-fi is available on request and credit card payments are accepted. There is no specific car park, but there are usually spaces free on the side streets nearby. 

From Monday to Thursday opening hours are 7.30 to 17.00, and on Friday and Saturday from 8.00 to 17.00 and 20.30 to midnight. Closed on Sundays and in the first fortnight of September.
