Alicante and the Valencian Community can expect fluctuating weather conditions throughout this week, with potential thunderstorms, temperature changes and gusty winds, particularly in inland areas.
Monday September 9
Alicante and the wider Valencian Community will experience partly cloudy to clear skies this Monday, with some intervals of low cloud in the morning, particularly in the inland areas of Alicante. Temperatures will see a slight dip in minimum levels, while maximum temperatures will decrease more noticeably in the interior of the northern third and the central and southern coastal areas. The rest of the region should see little change.
Wind conditions will vary, with a moderate north-westerly wind expected in the inland areas of Castellón, occasionally bringing very strong gusts. In other areas, a light variable wind will persist, with sea breezes expected to develop in the afternoon.
Tuesday September 10
On Tuesday, the region will start the day with clear or slightly cloudy skies, though this will give way to more cloudy intervals by the afternoon. The forecast predicts showers with occasional thunderstorms during the afternoon, so be prepared for sudden weather changes.
Temperature-wise, there will be little variation from Monday. The wind will be light and variable, tending towards a light easterly and south-easterly breeze along the coast during the afternoon.
Wednesday September 11
By midweek, cloudy skies are expected to dominate in both Alicante and Valencia, with showers and occasional thunderstorms likely to occur.
Minimum temperatures may dip slightly in the interior of Alicante, while maximum temperatures will decrease slightly across the board. Wind patterns will stay consistent, with moderate north-westerly winds. On the coast, expect light variable winds, with sea breezes returning in the afternoon.
Thursday September 12
Thursday will bring cloudy skies across the region. On the coast and in the southern half of Alicante, light showers may occur, with the likelihood increasing in the afternoon.
Minimum temperatures are forecast to decrease slightly, while maximum temperatures will remain steady or rise slightly.
