Warm temperatures and sunny skies until mid-week: Spain weather forecast February 23-26
The rain is set to return to large parts of Spain from Wednesday onwards and the temperatures will gradually drop

Average temperatures expected on Tuesday February 24
The weather rollercoaster that’s characterised 2026 so far is set to continue until the end of the month. This week will begin with gloriously sunny skies and soaring temperatures in most of Spain before a front sweeps in on Wednesday, signalling a return of the rain.
Monday February 23

Early morning fog and mists along the Mediterranean coast will give way to a bight, sunny day in most parts of the country. No rain is forecast and the daytime temperatures should increase across the board, hitting 25ºC in Murcia. Monday night should also be exceptionally mild, particularly in western Spain.
Tuesday February 24

Tuesday will be something of a transition day as the anticyclone weakens and gives way to an approaching front. Even so, the day should be dry and mostly clear, although the clouds will gather in the evening, when there’s a chance of drizzle along the Atlantic coast.
Daytime temperatures will continue to climb in eastern Spain and inland, reaching the mid to high-20s in many areas.
Wednesday February 25

A front is expected across western Spain, bringing very cloudy or overcast skies with occasionally moderate rainfall, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms. This rain will be persistent in Galicia, gradually clearing towards the end of the day, leaving mostly cloudy skies with low cloud cover.
Elsewhere, it will be very cloudy with a predominance of mid- and high-level cloud, with a chance of some light and occasional rain in areas along the Atlantic coast. Large clearings are expected towards the end of the day, except in the Strait of Gibraltar and along parts of the Mediterranean coast, where low cloud cover is forecast.
Daytime temperatures will fall by a degree or two.
Thursday February 26

Cloudy skies are expected in the morning, with abundant low cloud cover in the western half of the country and along the Mediterranean coast. A few light showers are possible in western Alboran Sea areas. During the morning, skies will tend to become partly cloudy or clear, increasing to very cloudy in the northwest by the end of the day, with likely light rain in coastal areas.
Daytime temperatures could inch up again in the west and very slight increases are likely along the eastern Mediterranean coast, but it’s expected to cooler in most other areas.
