Until March 23 Free David Bowie photo exhibition in Murcia city

The stunning Murcia exhibition pays tribute to the artist on the tenth anniversary of his death

January 10 marked ten years since the death of David Bowie, the chameleon-like British icon whose elegance, extravagance and revolutionary spirit changed pop culture forever. To mark the anniversary, Murcia city is hosting a major free exhibition celebrating the life and legacy of the London-born singer who showed the world a thousand fascinating faces.

"David Bowie Legacy", curated by photographer Domingo J. Casas, opened on Friday at the College of Administrative Managers of the Region of Murcia on Calle Vinader and will run until March 23.

The exhibition brings together more than 40 artists offering their diverse perspectives on one of the greatest stars of all time through photography, painting, sculpture, vinyl records and other visual and audiovisual media.

Through diverse languages and styles, the creators aim to reinterpret Bowie's figure and evoke his multiple artistic identities, his revolutionary aesthetic and his far-reaching influence on music, art and fashion.

Domingo J. Casas has assembled works by more than 30 prominent contemporary artists, demonstrating the enduring influence of David Bowie and his flamboyant alter ego Ziggy Stardust on popular culture.

The free exhibition can be visited Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and confirms that Bowie, known as "The Thin White Duke", remains deeply rooted in popular culture with an undeniable influence that reaches the present day.
