Two 22-year-old men have been arrested following reports of a rape in the toilets of a supermarket in Alicante city.

After the initial sexual assault, the 14-year-old girl was reportedly taken at knifepoint to a nearby area where she was allegedly assaulted again by both men.

The rape allegedly took place at around 4pm on Tuesday March 21 in the toilets of a supermarket in the Pla neighbourhood of Alicante, when the lone teenager was approached by two men and forced at knifepoint into the restroom before being attacked.

The suspects are being held at Alicante Provincial Police Station and will be brought before the courts on Wednesday afternoon, March 22.
