Friends and family have paid heartfelt tributes to Ben Clark, a 41-year-old British tourist who tragically died after falling from a height near a popular beach in Mallorca. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, June 27, when Mr Clark plunged approximately 15 feet onto rocks near Cala Agulla, in the northeast of the island.

 

The Guardia Civil received an emergency call shortly before 2am reporting the fall in the rocky area near Capdepera. Specialist mountain rescue teams were mobilised, and the body was recovered just after 5am. Authorities are treating the case as an accident pending a full report and autopsy.

 

According to sources, Mr Clark’s partner also fell from the same spot but was knocked unconscious and later regained consciousness. She went to a nearby hotel to raise the alarm.

 

Ben Clark, a self-employed carpenter from Andover, Hampshire, was described by friends as “one of the good ones” and “a great guy.” His daughter shared a touching message on social media, writing: “Love you forever dad,” accompanied by a photograph of the two smiling together.

 

Friends expressed their shock and sadness. Becky Paris said: “Honestly, I just spent most of the evening talking about how ‘it’s the kind of thing you read about in newspapers but never think it will happen to someone you know.’ Today, I am absolutely heartbroken for you and your little family. You really were one of the good ones, mate.”

 

Peter Fordham added: “RIP Ben Clark. Devastating news and a sad loss. You will be massively missed. Condolences to all your friends and family.”

 

Chris Jon Osman responded to a tribute from one of Ben’s daughters: “His memory will live on through the many lives he touched. He was a great guy and a true legend.”
