After the wet and wild weather of last week, the province of Alicante in eastern Spain will be happy to return to the dry and sunny weather it normally enjoys, even if it will be a bit cloudy and temperatures are slowly dropping.

 

For Monday October 23, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts “cloudy intervals increasing to cloudy skies in the afternoon, with scattered showers likely in the late afternoon”.

 

They also point out there will be a “chance of dust in suspension at high levels”, though it should not be as dramatic an episode of calima as we have seen in the past.

 

Tuesday 24 brings “predominantly cloudy skies in the early and late hours, tending towards cloudy intervals for the rest of the day”. In the afternoon, Benidorm can expect some gentle rainfall, but this will be basically the only small shower all week.

 

Temperatures will begin to fall and the wind will be “occasionally strong in the afternoon in inland areas”.

 

On Wednesday October 25, these conditions continue, with the wind picking up slightly, especially in inland areas, then Thursday 26 will bring “cloudy intervals in the northern interior, where occasional scattered precipitation is not ruled out in the afternoon and partly cloudy skies in the rest”.
