Sunnier days are coming but the wind persists: Alicante weather forecast for February 16-19
Temperatures are on the rise this week, with mostly clear skies but moderate to strong winds will continue

The weather is definitely on the turn for the better across Alicante, although the wind hasn’t quite finished with us yet. The good news is that alerts are gradually being downgraded as the week goes on, and overall the outlook is brighter, calmer and far more settled than it’s been lately.
Monday February 16

Monday will still feel a bit unsettled. You will see some cloud but the temperatures will start to rise. Winds from the west and northwest will be moderate to strong, with very windy spells inland and maybe along the coast.
Tuesday February 17

Tuesday will be even brighter with mostly clear skies. Temperatures will edge up a little more but the moderate to strong winds continue. The strongest winds are most likely to be inland and during the morning.
Wednesday February 18

Wednesday looks to be largely sunny with just some cloud drifting through. Early morning mist or fog patches are possible in places. Temperatures may dip slightly and inland areas will experience some very strong winds later in the day.
Thursday February 19

Again, Thursday will be bright with mostly clear skies and little change in the temperatures. Westerly and northwesterly winds remain moderate to strong, with occasional very strong gusts, especially in exposed inland spots.
All in all, it’s shaping up to be a bright but breezy week in Alicante. The sunshine is back, and while the wind will make an appearance now and then, the general feel will be much more settled. A welcome change after the recent run of wild weather. With it being almond blossom season, now’s the perfect time to get outside, enjoy the countryside, and make the most of the clearer skies this week.

Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this week
- Monday February 16: Min 10ºC, Max 21ºC
- Tuesday February 17: Min 11ºC, Max 24ºC
- Wednesday February 18: Min 10ºC, Max 23ºC
- Thursday February 19: Min 8ºC, Max 19ºC

Weather Alerts
There are still some yellow wind alerts in place this week. The start of the week will see some strong winds, mainly from the northwest, reaching up to 70 km/h in the interior and along the northern and southern coasts on Monday and Tuesday. The north coast may also see westerly and northwesterly gusts of 50–60 km/h early Tuesday morning. By Wednesday and Thursday, no official alerts are in place, though occasional breezy spells could still appear, particularly inland and along exposed coastal areas.
