The ‘Bibliobus’ library bus returns to Águilas’s Calabardina for another year, bringing more than 60,000 volumes to the Paseo Marítimo of the
village of Calabardina.
As well as 60,000 physical books, the mobile library has near limitless resources in electronic format, provided by the platform of the Regional Library, eBiblio.
Members of the public can ‘take out’ digital books, press and magazines, and even access “audiovisual material” via the eFilm service, according to Águilas Town Hall.
The mobile library will be parked on the seafront promenade in Calabardina every Monday during the whole summer from 10am to 1pm.
Book loans last for 15 days and can be made by anyone who has either a Spanish identity card (DNI or NIE), or membership card from any Spanish public library.
It’s a perfect service for those wanting something to read on the
Playa de Calabardina beach this summer.
The Bibliobus, which is part of the activities proposed by the Network of Public Libraries of the Region of Murcia, has been visiting the municipality of Águilas yearly since 1998 and bringing reading to the beach.
