Stormy showers and much cooler days: Alicante weather forecast August 3-6
The temperatures will drop across Alicante province before ramping up again by the end of the week

Storm Patricia is giving most of Spain a welcome break from the heat and will result in some dramatic changes in Alicante province over the coming days, with widespread but not necessarily heavy rain forecast along with strong gusts of wind and stormy seas.
In fact, the arrival of the unusual August squall has already resulted in a red flag on San Juan beach on Thursday afternoon.
Thursday August 3
A yellow warning for heavy rain has been activated between 5pm and midnight throughout the north of the province and inland that could leave accumulations of up to 20 litres of water in just one hour. The maximum temperatures will take a noticeable dip and a light easterly wind will feel much stronger along the coast.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday
Alcoy: 22ºC to 31ºC
Alicante: 26ºC to 33ºC
Denia: 25ºC to 31ºC
Elche: 25ºC to 34ºC
Orihuela: 26ºC to 37ºC
Friday August 4
The forecast for Friday varies drastically throughout the province. In the south of Alicante, cloudy intervals are expected with a probability of showers and occasional storms in the morning, although this situation will subside in the afternoon.
Further north the entire day will be mostly cloudy and the temperatures will continue to fall. A moderate easterly wind will hit the coast, placing the south of Alicante on yellow alert for choppy seas until noon.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Friday
Alcoy: 17ºC to 29ºC
Alicante: 23ºC to 30ºC
Denia: 22ºC to 29ºC
Elche: 22ºC to 31ºC
Orihuela: 22ºC to 32ºC
Saturday August 5
There will be no trace left of Storm Patricia on Saturday and the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts mostly clear or slightly cloudy skies throughout Alicante province. Daytime temperatures will begin to creep up, with the exception of the northern coast.
Variable light wind tending to the south and southeast, with moderate intervals on the coast.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Saturday
Alcoy: 16ºC to 32ºC
Alicante: 20ºC to 31ºC
Denia: 21ºC to 31ºC
Elche: 19ºC to 33ºC
Orihuela: 20ºC to 35ºC
Sunday August 6
Very little change is expected on Sunday although the nighttime temperatures will increase slightly. A southerly wind will be light inland but shift towards moderate along the coast.

Alicante: 22ºC to 31ºC
