An Ipsos study has found that Spaniards are the most satisfied Europeans in the bedroom

<span style='color:#780948'>ARCHIVED</span> - Spanish people have the most satisfying sex lives of anyone in Europe

A new survey conducted by Ipsos of more than 22,000 adults aged between 18 and 74 in 32 countries has revealed that 72% of Spaniards feel satisfied with their sexual relationships, while 82% say they feel loved.

The results make Spain the European country with the highest degree of satisfaction in their sex life and love life, giving truth to the Spanish song, “Para hacer bien el amor hay que venir al sur” (‘To make love properly, you have to come to the south...’).

The survey confirms that globally 83% of married or partnered people feel loved, but this percentage drops to 75% when it comes to romantic or sexual relationships.

It also found that older people feel the most loved (80%), and Generation Z, born in the late 1990s and early 2000s, feel the least loved (73%).

When it comes to sex, Millennials are the most satisfied (68%), while Gen Z is the least satisfied (59%).

The survey also found notable differences between people who are married and those who are not. Globally, 75% of people who are married are the most satisfied with their love life compared to 63% of those who are single.

At the end of October, another study published by the Women’s Institute revealed that almost 60% of young Spanish women confessed to having had sex “unwillingly” with the intention of “pleasing”.

The same report also found that most of them considered sex as a necessary subject to “talk about and share”. Around 50% admitted to talking about sex at least once a week or daily, compared to 4.4% who said they “never” did.
