Six new petrol stations open in Murcia, Aguilas and Molina de Segura
Low-cost favourite Ballenoil will double its filling stations in the Region of Murcia with the latest openings

Ballenoil, Spain’s leading independent fuel retailer, will soon double its presence in the Region of Murcia with the opening of six new automated service stations. With an investment of three million euros, the low-cost company will go from five gas stations to 11.
In the coming months, Ballenoil will launch four new filling stations in Murcia city, along with one each in Águilas and Molina de Segura.
Although all of the new buildings will be strategically placed along busy thoroughfares, the surface area of the forecourts will be relatively small to keep costs down, a saving which will be passed on to customers in the form of cheaper fuel. And while the stations will be largely automated, at least one staff member will be on duty during business hours, creating 10 new jobs in the Region.
As well as traditional fuel, drivers will be able to choose between a range of premium add-ons such as Excellent Diesel, Excellent 95 Gasoline and Excellent PLUS Diesel, Ballenoil’s flagship product. Most of the filling stations will also house a Blue Whale car wash centre.
The company’s medium-term objective is to continue generating fuel savings for millions of drivers in Spain while improving the customer experience. According to the Consumer Organisation, motorists who opt to fill up at Ballenoil facilities save between 280 and 320 euros per year.
After months of fluctuations, fuel prices in Spain have stabilised and petrol and diesel are both cheaper than before Russia invaded Ukraine. Today, a litre of petrol has dropped to around 1.59 euros, while diesel has bottomed out at 1.42 euros.
