Showery intervals before a torrid weekend: Alicante weather forecast July 27-30
A mostly dry and bright weekend ahead for Alicante province with temperatures hovering around the mid-30s

After a brief reprieve from the heat during the week and even some very stormy intervals in the north of the province on Wednesday July 26, the day and nighttime temperatures will begin to climb in Alicante again this weekend, with several showers also forecast.
Despite a few light rainy episodes the weekend will be generally bright and warm, with higher than normal night temperatures along the Mediterranean coast.
The mercury will begin its ascent on Thursday July 27 although some weak and occasional showers in the south of the province can’t be ruled out, possibly resulting in scattered muddy rain. In the north, there’s a small chance of wet periods and storms in the afternoon.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday:
Alcoy: 20ºC to 32ºC
Alicante: 24ºC to 31ºC
Denia: 25ºC to 31ºC
Elche: 23ºC to 32ºC
Orihuela: 24ºC to 33ºC
Heading into Friday July 28, mostly clear skies are expected although the northern coast will start out rather overcast. No major changes are expected temperature-wise but it will continue to grow warmer inland.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Friday:
Alcoy: 20ºC to 34ºC
Alicante: 22ºC to 30ºC
Denia: 23ºC to 32ºC
Elche: 22ºC to 33ºC
Orihuela: 22ºC to 34ºC
Saturday July 29 will be very pleasant in most parts with slightly cloudy or clear skies, with intervals of low morning clouds in coastal areas. The mercury will continue to climb, especially inland, reaching a sweltering 37ºC in Orihuela.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Saturday:
Alcoy: 21ºC to 37ºC
Alicante: 23ºC to 31ºC
Denia: 24ºC to 33ºC
Elche: 22ºC to 34ºC
Orihuela: 22ºC to 37ºC
Sunday July 30 will begin a little more overcast in most parts of the province, especially along the coast where the cloud cover will also gather at the end of the day. Aside from some possible drizzle at dawn though it will be largely clear with the daytime temperatures falling slightly.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Sunday:
Alcoy: 21ºC to 33ºC
Alicante: 24ºC to 33ºC
Denia: 25ºC to 32ºC
Elche: 22ºC to 34ºC
Orihuela: 23ºC to 34ºC
