The grand switching-on ceremonies continue in Lomas del Rame on 2^nd December and Los Narejos on 4^th December

Like the rest of Spain, Los Alcázares is already gearing up for the festive season as we approach the long bank holiday weekend from 5^th to 9^th December, and the Christmas spirit really kicks in this year in the town centre on Saturday 29^th November, when the lighting is switched on in the streets until Three Kings Day on 6^th January.

The ceremony takes place at 19.30 outside the Town Hall, and is accompanied by musical performances and the appearance of various well-loved children’s characters, as well as the handing of Christmas cacti and a few surprises.

This is followed on 2^nd December by another ceremony in the Plaza de la Virgen in Lomas del Rame and on 4^th December in the Plaza Miguel de Cervantes in Los Narejos, both at 19.30.

There then follows a month of events and entertainment for all the family, including the famed Christmas swim, a parade of Santas on motorbikes, children’s New Year, the big New Year party in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the arrival of Father Christmas, concerts, workshops, the Christmas market and of course the Three Kings parade on 5^th January.
