November 19-24 La Manga Club Owners Golf Championship
Support the local player-owners as they play in the most exciting championship of the year

This November sees the return of what is undoubtedly the biggest golf tournament on La Manga Club for owners on the resort.
Between Sunday November 19 and Friday 24, close to 200 golfers will be competing for top spot at the La Manga Club Owners’ Golf Championship 2023.
It comes just a couple of weeks after the Farmfoods European Senior Masters Golf Championship, which is being held at La Manga Club this November for the second year running.
The traditional players’ gathering for the Owners’ Championship takes place the evening of November 19, while the dates for the golf are from Monday 20 to Friday 24.
The week is rounded off with an extremely popular gala dinner and prize-giving ceremony at the La Manga Club Hotel & Spa, which this year will be attended by around 280 people.
Only players who have played in a minimum of six individual qualifying competitions between November 1, 2022 and October 31, 2023 are eligible for prizes in the tournament.
Play will be based on the Stableford scoring method in three handicap divisions. There will be prizes for divisional winners, runners up and places depending on the numbers in the division, while the best Stableford score irrespective of the division will win the Overall Trophy.
In addition, there are prizes and trophies for the best scratch score, the best man and lady over 70 years of age, plus nearest the pins and daily best score prizes.
The itinerary for the week is:
- Sunday November 19: Players gather at Owners’ Clubhouse
- Monday November 20: All ladies’ divisions and men’s division three – North Course
- Tuesday November 21: Men’s divisions one and two – North Course
- Wednesday November 22: All ladies’ divisions and men’s division three – West Course
- Thursday November 23: Men’s divisions one and two – West Course, then a Pre-final day party in the afternoon and the last round draw
- Friday November 24: Final Championship round on South Course and pairs competition on North Course, with the gala dinner and prize presentation in the evening.
This year’s Owners’ tournament promises to be the best yet on La Manga Club, with an impressive string of sponsors helping to give organisers a foundation on which to build a great event.
Long-standing sponsors, Securitas, have re-confirmed their commitment to the tournament for this year, while a sponsorship package has also been agreed with Garia golf buggies and Riversa – sponsors of the Solheim Cup – which will enable us to make the week even more exciting.
The competition was originally a massive freebie funded by P&O the original owners of the resort in order to promote the properties. As the economic world has changed it passed to the owners to fund it themselves and as such requires sponsorship, with many of the sponsors becoming loyal returners over the years.
