There will be three United Airlines flights each way between Andalucía and New York this summer

New York summer flights resume at Malaga Airport

United Airlines will begin operating its new seasonal direct flight connection between Malaga Airport and its hub in New York/Newark as of summer 2023, recovering a direct route that the Costa del Sol lost in 2019 and which is now exclusively offered by United Airlines.

These New York-Malaga flights will run three times a week in the summer high tourist season.

The first flight takes off from New York airport on Wednesday May 31 at 5.55pm and will arrive in the capital city of the Costa del Sol early on Thursday June 1, at 7.35am, a planned journey time of 7 hours and 40 minutes.

In the opposite direction, the flight from Malaga-Costa del Sol airport will leave on Friday June 2, departing at 9.40am and arriving in New York at 12.15pm, a journey that is scheduled to last 8 hours and 35 minutes.

United’s new seasonal non-stop service from Malaga to New York/Newark will be operated with Boeing 757-200 aircraft, which have a total of 169 seats: 16 lie-flat seats in United Polaris SM business class and 153 in economy class, including 45 Economy Plus SM seats with legroom and more personal space.

This new flight joins United’s existing year-round daily nonstop services from Madrid and Barcelona to New York/Newark, as well as their seasonal flights from Madrid and Barcelona to Washington Dulles, from Tenerife and Palma de Mallorca to New York/Newark, and from Barcelona to Chicago O’Hare, which began May 26.
