While other parts of Spain suffer under weather warnings for rain and strong winds, including in the provinces of Albacete and Almería, the Region of Murcia will be dry and fairly sunny – if a little overcast – this weekend, the last in October.

 

Thursday October 26 will bring cloudy skies and temperatures which are rising slightly, according to the forecast from Spain’s State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). It will be a windy day, though, with the westerly gusts being especially strong on the coast and in high altitude areas, with occasionally very strong gusts of up to 38kmh in the northwest.

 

 

On Friday, the winds will be lighter and it will continue to be cloudy, while on Saturday it should be a gorgeous sunny day with less cloud cover.

 

Aemet predicts that “Minimum temperatures will fall and maximum temperatures will rise slightly” up to highs of 27ºC in Murcia capital city and 22-23ºC along the coast.

 

 

Sunday 29 brings much of the same, on a day when the clocks go back an hour at the end of Daylight Savings Time in Europe. It will continue to be cloudy as we move into next week, with perhaps the chance of some rain in the northwest of the Region, but overall dry and pleasant.
