Midweek showers and storms: Alicante weather forecast August 12-15
A DANA could bring widespread rain to Alicante province later this week
Weather forecast on Wednesday August 14
The fourth heatwave of the summer gripped all of Spain over the weekend and while it was certainly a scorcher in the Valencian Community, Alicante was relatively cool compared to many parts of the country.
Over the next few days, the mercury should take another dip and the province could even be in for some rain and isolated storms mid-week thanks to an approaching weather front from the north.
Monday August 12
The temperatures will remain largely unchanged at the beginning of the week although early Monday morning will feel a little cooler thanks to a moderately strong southeasterly breeze.
The skies will be predominantly clear with some high clouds.
Tuesday August 13
Much more cloud cover is forecast on Tuesday, which could lead to showers in the northern half of the province. Few changes are expected temperature-wise for the time being and Monday’s winds will persist, feeling more blustery along the coast in the afternoon.
Wednesday August 14
A DANA will sweep Spain on Wednesday, but its path is still very uncertain. At the moment, it looks like the weather front will stretch to the Valencian Community and if it does, Alicante can expect cloudy intervals with showers and thunderstorms, although these will be light and scattered further south.
Day-time temperatures should fall by a few degrees across the board.
Thursday August 15
The unsettled weather is likely to continue into Thursday, when overcast skies and morning storms are forecast along the northern coast of Alicante. There’s a good chance of showers everywhere during the afternoon and the day-time temperatures will continue to drop in the extreme south.

- Tuesday Aug 13: Min 21ºC; Max 37ºC
- Wednesday Aug 14: Min 19ºC; Max 27ºC
- Thursday Aug 15: Min 17ºC; Max 30ºC
