Lorry driver dies suddenly while driving on the AP-7 motorway near Mazarron
The 60-year-old was pronounced dead after his vehicle swerved several times and came to a stop
A truck driver died in his cab while driving on the AP-7 road to Almeria this Wednesday afternoon, May 10.
Shortly after 3pm, a caller informed the Emergency Coordination Centre 112 that there was a lorry driver unconscious inside his vehicle, in the municipality of Mazarrón near the tunnel on the descent to Cabo Cope, at exit 866.
The vehicle had apparently stopped on the motorway after swerving several times. It remained on the road and the person who called 112, another lorry driver, had to mark the location while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
When they arrived, the lorry driver, aged 60 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. So far, no cause of death has been given.
