July 25 A night of astronomy for all the family under the starry sky of Caravaca de la Cruz

One of the activities laid on in Caravaca to coincide with the Holy Jubilee Year in 2024 is this guided evening of astronomy under the title of “Mitos y Estrellas, el cielo en la antigüedad” (Myths and Legends, the Sky in Ancient Times), which is being held for the second time on Thursday July 25.

This is a family outing at the small rural church of La Encarnación., beginning at 22.00 and featuring explanations by the activity leaders of some of the interesting tales the night sky has to tell, and how ancient cultures interpreted the stars. The evening ends with a photography opportunity to preserve the memory of a great night out!

Although it’s late July participants are advised to wrap up warm and to wear boots, long trousers and the like. Those under 18 must be accompanied by at least one adult.
