Jet2 launches 20 new UK flights to holiday hotspots including Spain and Portugal
From summer 2024, passengers will able to fly direct from Liverpool to mainland Spain and the islands
In the summer of 2024, Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport will become Jet2’s 11th UK base and offer 20 new flights to popular sun destinations, including Spain. The northwest hub will begin its new operations in March next year and by the high season, passengers will be able to jet from Britain on seven brand new routes.
Offering no fewer than 564,000 seats from Liverpool, during the summer of 2024 Jet 2 will run as many as 54 flights per week, 12 of which will operate between the UK base and the Canary and Balearic Islands.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be expanding our award-winning flights and holidays to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which becomes our 11th UK airport base.
“This announcement further expands our footprint and comes on the back of the enormous demand that we know is out there from customers and independent travel agents across Liverpool, Merseyside and the wider region.
“We have seen that demand really ramp up over the past couple of years, so we know there will be a fantastic response to this launch.
“We have seen time and time again how popular our product is when we bring it to new customers, and we look forward to showcasing our VIP customer service to holidaymakers from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and delighting them with our product.”
Other sought-after destinations from Liverpool will include Portugal, Greece, Rhodes, Zante, Madeira, Paphos and Bulgaria.
