The new emergency vehicle purchased by the Águilas Red Cross will be able to help those stranded in hard-to-reach places along the coastline

Cruz Roja Aguilas gets new emergency vehicle

The management team and volunteers of the Red Cross (Cruz Roja), together with the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, presented the new emergency vehicle which joins the Red Cross fleet in Águilas at the Town Hall.

This all-terrain vehicle, with a 2.0L engine and 170 horse power, is equipped to intervene in any emergency along the 23 kilometres of coastline of the municipality of Águilas, being able to reach places where other vehicles cannot access.

At the same time, the large load capacity in the rear will allow injured people to be transferred on a stretcher from an area that is difficult to access to an ambulance.

The purchase of this new vehicle has been subsidised by the Ministry of Social Policy and Migration and will be operational effective immediately.
