Cold fronts bring mixed weather: Spain forecast February 24-27
Spain can expect a mix of wet, cloudy days and sunny skies this week

Weather outlook on Tuesday afternoon
After a weekend that was marked by heavy downpours in many parts of Spain, the final stretch of February will welcome yet more Atlantic fronts. So, will it rain this week? The answer is a resounding ‘yes’, but it certainly won’t be as widespread as recent days.
Just like the rainfall, the temperatures will also be very mixed and will fluctuate widely day by day.
Monday February 24

The weather will be calm and settled at the beginning of the week with plenty of sunny spells in most parts.
However, the approach of an Atlantic front from the northwest will cause an increase in cloudiness in north-western Spain, where heavy rain is forecast.
Early morning mist and fog banks are forecast in the Balearic Islands and along the east coast of mainland Spain.
Daytime temperatures could increase by a degree or two with no major fluctuations expected, although Monday night should be far milder in most of the country.
Tuesday February 25

That cold front will land in earnest on Tuesday, resulting in overcast skies and a chance of rain or scattered showers in the entire country. However, the extreme southeast should miss the worst of the weather.
Daytime temperatures will start to climb along the Mediterranean coasts, where the mercury will climb to 22ºC or 23ºC at the height of the day.
Wednesday February 26

The weather will settle down on Wednesday as the front moves away, but the tail end of it will leave some light rain in the Balearic Islands that could even stretch as far as the extreme southwest.
As the day goes by, the rain will subside, with clearings and skies remaining partly cloudy.
Wednesday will be noticeably cooler than the previous day, especially in the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands.
Thursday February 27

The arrival of a new front will leave very cloudy or overcast skies on the Atlantic side of the country with occasionally heavy rainfall. The rest of Spain and the Balearic Islands can also expect plenty of cloud cover but the rain should hold off.
Any changes to daytime temperatures will be very slight.
