Chilly but dry this weekend: Alicante weather forecast December 14-17

Weather outlook on Saturday December 16

It’s been an incredibly mixed week in Alicante so far, with the weather ranging from typical December frosts to summer-like temperatures approaching 30 degrees.

There was a definite shift towards more typical wintery conditions on Wednesday December 13 though, and this will continue into the weekend. Although the province won’t experience the stormy gusts forecast in other parts of the Valencian Community, the days will be dramatically cooler, if bright and sunny for the most part.

Thursday December 14

After an overcast start in the north of the province, Thursday will be mostly bright and sunny. Temperatures will begin to fall, especially in southern Alicante and a moderate wind will blow in from the west and northwest.

Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday

Alcoy: 6ºC to 14ºC

Alicante: 8ºC to 19ºC

Denia: 9ºC to 18ºC

Elche: 8ºC to 18ºC

Orihuela: 8ºC to 16ºC

Friday December 15

Daytime temperatures will rise by a couple of degrees on Friday during a mostly clear or slightly cloudy day. The evening will be a lot cooler in many areas though, although the westerly breeze will remain light.

Alcoy: 6ºC to 16ºC

Alicante: 7ºC to 18ºC

Denia: 8ºC to 19ºC

Elche: 7ºC to 19ºC

Orihuela: 5ºC to 18ºC

Saturday December 16

Saturday should be a lovely sunny day with some gathering cloudiness towards the evening. Both the day and nighttime temperatures will take another dip, resulting in frosts inland to the north of the province.

Alcoy: 6ºC to 15ºC

Alicante: 7ºC to 17ºC

Denia: 8ºC to 17ºC

Elche: 6ºC to 17ºC

Orihuela: 5ºC to 17ºC

Sunday December 17

Sunday will be slightly cloudy or clear in most of Alicante with some low morning clouds. The mercury will tend to fall again in many municipalities and those weak frosts will persist in the north. A variable light wind from the east will feel more gusty along the coast during the second half of the day.

Alcoy: 5ºC to 15ºC

Alicante: 6ºC to 16ºC

Denia: 8ºC to 16ºC

Elche: 5ºC to 17ºC

Orihuela: 5ºC to 16ºC
