Chance of rain at the end of the weekend: Murcia weather forecast Oct 12-15
An Atlantic storm will sweep across Spain from Saturday, pulling down the temperatures in the Region of Murcia
Most of Spain will enjoy a pleasant, sunny long weekend for the celebrations of the National Holiday and the extraordinary heat looks set to continue in the Region of Murcia for the next few days. However, as we reach the end of the week, the weather will take a turn and the temperatures will finally begin to dip.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) itself admits that the forecasts could easily change as the days go by, but for the moment the experts have hinted at settled weather until at least Saturday night, when there is a slight possibility of some light showers in certain municipalities.
Outlook for Thursday October 12
On Thursday October 12, clear skies and maximum temperatures of up to 31ºC are expected across the Region, with thermometers falling a little elsewhere, to 29ºC in Lorca and 28ºC in Cartagena. The early morning will be particularly chilly in Caravaca and Yecla, where the temperatures will dip to just 11ºC.
Outlook for Friday October 13
Very few changes are expected on Friday October 13 although daytime temperatures will take a bit of an upswing, hitting a sweltering 32ºC in the capital and comfortably exceeding 30ºC in Caravaca, Yecla and Lorca.
Outlook for Saturday October 14
An Atlantic storm is due to hit northern Spain on Saturday October 14 before spreading downwards over the remainder of the weekend, and while this front brings a small chance of rain to the Region of Murcia, it’s unlikely to have any major impact. Inland, the temperatures will drop noticeably with few changes elsewhere.
Outlook for Sunday October 15
The possibility of rain will increase on Sunday October 15 when the skies will be largely overcast across the Region. The storm, however, will bring few changes to the temperatures, which will still hover around the 30s.

- Thursday October 12: Min 11ºC; Max 31ºC
- Friday October 13: Min 12ºC; Max 32ºC
- Saturday October 14: Min 12ºC; Max 28ºC
- Sunday October 15: Min 10ºC; Max 30ºC
