August 15 Carnival of Torrevieja Parade
The spectacular show starts at Torrevieja Cultural Centre at 9pm
Torrevieja is gearing up for its spectacular summer parade this Thursday August 15. The annual event, a highlight of the city's calendar, will feature the reigning Queen and Ladies of Salt, along with a host of colourful carnival groups, floats and evening entertainment.
The festivities will kick off at 9pm in the vicinity of the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Centre, with the parade making its way along Calle Ramón Gallud until it intersects with Calle Clemente Gosalve.
Leading the procession will be the stunning Salt Queen herself, Mireya Hernández, and her Ladies, Paula García and Beatriz Cerdá, dressed in their finest attire. They will be joined by the Children's Queen, Irene del Monte, and the Carnival royalty, King Damián Bear, and Queen Eva Viuda, each accompanied by their respective vibrant comparsas (carnival groups).
The carnival groups, known for their energetic performances and creative costumes, will bring their unique flair to the parade. Groups such as Aquí Hay Tomate, QK, Daimana, No ni ná, Destellos, Desafío, Osadía and Jolgorio will dazzle spectators with their colourful ensembles and intricate choreographies. The rhythmic beats and lively melodies of the carnival bands will fill the air, creating an electric atmosphere as always.
The parade will also be accompanied by a lively band and entertainment show, adding to the festive ambiance.
Organisers have ensured that the parade route is accessible to all, with a reserved space for people with reduced mobility located next to the Fontana Hotel.
