ARCHIVED - Free parking in blue zones comes to an end in Murcian cities and towns

Lorca, Murcia, Cartagena and Totana have all returned to normal from September 1

Summer is officially over as far as the parking services are concerned and from September 1 the free parking offer ends and in most locations it’s back to business as normal.

During August parking is free in most blue zones, but from September 1 this concession ends.

Parking in regulated blue zones must be paid for between Monday and Friday from 09:00 to 14:00 in the mornings and 17:00 to 20:00 in the evenings.

On Saturday the system only operates in the morning from 09:00 to 14:00 and on Saturday afternoons and evenings, all day Sunday and Bank holidays parking Is free of charge.

The parking concessionary is gradually changing over the payment machines and although all payment points continue to accept cash, an increasing number also offer the opportunity to download an app. through which payment can be made via mobile phones.
