Andalucía weekend weather forecast December 4-7: Blustery showers and a brighter, milder finish
Windy, cloudy days give way to sunnier, warmer spells along the Mediterranean coast
After a wet and windy start to December, Andalucía faces a few more days of lively weather, especially in the east, before things turn a little calmer and milder. Expect plenty of cloud and some rain to begin with, strong gusty winds at times, then a brighter, more comfortable end to the weekend, particularly along the Mediterranean coast.Thursday December 4
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday December 4Skies stay mostly overcast across the region, with light to moderate rain at times, becoming more likely in the afternoon and evening, especially from Seville up towards Córdoba. Along the Mediterranean side, showers are less likely, though it will remain quite cloudy. Minimum temperatures barely change, but daytime values lift a touch, so it feels a little less cold than earlier in the week. There is still a risk of light frost first thing in parts of the eastern interior near Granada and Jaén, locally sharper in the mountains, and westerly winds will be moderate with strong, sometimes very strong, gusts in the eastern third and along exposed stretches of the coast.
Friday December 5
Andalucía weather forecast, Friday December 5Friday brings a very similar set-up, with thick cloud for most and further outbreaks of light to moderate rain, again more frequent later in the day and more likely inland than on the Mediterranean strip. Temperatures stay on the mild side by day, with highs nudging the upper teens around Huelva and continuing to edge up generally. Overnight, the far eastern uplands may still see a touch of frost. Westerly winds remain a key feature, blowing at moderate strength with strong to very strong gusts in eastern areas and around higher ground, so it will feel quite blustery at times.
Saturday December 6
Andalucía weather forecast, Saturday December 6The pattern starts to improve, with clearer or only partly cloudy skies along the Mediterranean coast, including Almería where temperatures may climb to about 23 degrees. Elsewhere it is cloudier with the chance of generally light rain, especially across the Betic ranges, before skies brighten from the west during the afternoon. Temperatures rise a little more overall, apart from the western third, where daytime highs may slip slightly despite remaining pleasant near the coast. Winds ease back to light or moderate from the west, still freshening now and then along exposed Atlantic and Mediterranean shorelines.
Sunday December 7
Andalucía weather forecast, Sunday December 7Sunday looks more settled, with a mix of low morning cloud and higher, thinner cloud later in the day, giving many places some decent bright spells. Nights turn a bit cooler again, while daytime temperatures stay steady or rise a little in the eastern third, with around 22 degrees possible along parts of the coastline near Málaga. Light northerly breezes dominate, helping it feel fresher inland, though it stays comfortably mild by the sea, including around Tarifa. and the Bay of Cádiz.
By the end of the weekend, conditions feel noticeably more comfortable, especially by the sea, making it a decent few days for getting out between showers. Inland areas will still notice the chill first thing, but with lighter winds and rising daytime temperatures, it should feel more like fresh early winter than a cold snap.
