ARCHIVED - Aguilas helps low-income families to apply for 200-euro aid programme
ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
Households that earn less than 27,000 euros per year can now get 200 euros each month from the government
The town of
Águilas in the south of the Region of Murcia has committed itself to providing the most transparent and useful information possible to those who believe they may be able to apply for the
new 200-euro aid payment.
The Councillor for Youth, Citizen Participation and Transparency at the Town Council in Águilas, Juan Andrés Torres, has sent out a message saying that all the resources offered by the ‘Informajoven’ service – which is located in the Casa de la Juventud Capri Youth House – have been made available to anyone who may be interested in finding out how they can benefit from the monthly stipend of 200 euros.
This programme was approved by the Government of Spain on December 27, 2022, through Royal Decree-Law 20/2022, in response to the social and economic consequences of the war in Ukraine, and the date on which people can begin applying was on Wednesday February 15.
The aid is aimed at families with an annual income of less than 27,000 euros and assets (excluding their main residence) of less than 75,000 euros.
“It is one of the measures included, not only in this Decree, but in the whole range of actions carried out by the Spanish Government, which aims to alleviate the inflationary effects of the war in Ukraine,” said the Councillor in a statement.
The deadline before which eligible recipients must apply for this aid is on Friday March 31, 2023. Councillor Torres has assured that his department will supply full assistance to people who wish to apply for the aid, as there are several requirements that need to be fulfilled first. For instance, in order to process the application online, you must have an electronic certificate, pin key, etc.
“From the Casa de la Juventud, we will help all users, both in obtaining the electronic certificate or cl@ve to access the online process, as in the guidance in the process of applying for this aid,” said the Councillor.
The Casa de la Juventud Capri is located on Calle Alfonso Ortega Carmona, 5 B - Bajo A.
The opening hours are Monday to Friday, from 9am - 2pm. On Mondays and Wednesdays, there are also afternoon opening hours from 5pm - 8pm, except for when it’s a public holiday at schools and educational centres.
