ARCHIVED - Abandoned pony rescued from main road in Murcia
The animal is in care while efforts are made to trace its owner
The Zoonosis Centre just outside the city of Murcia is used to taking in abandoned pets, mostly dogs and cats, and indeed its resources are stretched to the limit as the number of strays and abandoned animals picked up unfortunately far exceeds the demand for adoption, but on Wednesday they were obliged to find temporary accommodation for a pony which was transported to them by the Ecological Patrol of the Policía Local.
The pony was found wandering along the busy Avenida de El Palmar and was taken in while efforts are made to track down its owner.
