ARCHIVED - 10 daily trains to operate between Murcia and Cartagena before summer
The three additional Murcia routes will be up and running by June at the latest

In response to a huge demand for extra transport between the cities of Murcia and Cartagena, the regional authorities have guaranteed no fewer than 10 daily trains in the very near future – that’s three more than are currently operating.
The new Media Distancia trains, which will be much cheaper thanks to the Public Service Obligation, will get up and running as soon as possible, with June this year set as the very latest date.
These new services will remain in operation for a minimum of three years but this period can be extended by the Council of Ministers if it proves successful.
Here’s the new timetable of trips between Cartagena and Murcia:
Trains will depart from Murcia del Carmen at 7.20am, 10.15am, 11.58am, 12.35pm, 2.30pm, 5.55pm, 6.10pm, 8.11pm, 10.30pm and 10.39pm from Monday to Friday. A reduced schedule will be offered at the weekend: 10.15am, 11.58am. 6.10pm, 8.11pm and 10.30pm departures on Saturdays and 11.58am, 12.35pm, 6.10pm, 8.11pm, 10.30pm and 10.39pm on Sundays.
On weekdays, trains will leave Cartagena for Murcia at 5.09am, 6.50am, 10.30am, 12pm, 12.35pm, 2.30pm, 4.13pm, 6.10pm, 8.03pm and 9.15pm.
